LESSON 1."LIKES AND DISLIKES"

These verbs are used to express preferences, things or activities that we like or we don´t like to do. Some of the verbs express tastes of greater to lesser degree.

LESSON 2. "SIMPLE PRESENT"

Use the simple present for daily routines and activities Whith I, we, you, and they, the simple preset form is the same as the base form of the verb. With he, she, and it add -s, but note these exceptions: 

  • Verbs ending in -ch, -s, -sh, -x, and -o, add -es. 

Example: watch- watches, go- goes

  • Vebs endiing in -y, chages -y to -i and -es
Example: carry- carries 
have is irregular      have-has

LESSON 3. "PRESENT CONTINUOUS"


Use the present continuous to talk about actions happening at the time of speaking and temporary actions happening around now.
Note the difference between the simple present tense and the present continuous tense. The present tense describes actions that ocur every day or all the time, while the present continuous tense describes actions that are happening now.

  • Make this form by adding -ing to the base form of the verb, but note: 


With verbs that end in -e, remove -e and add -ing
Example: cycle→ cycling 

  • With verbs of on syllable that end in one short vowel+consonant, repeat the consonant and add -ing. 

Example: dig→digging
